Kodak has finally started accepting pre-orders for their Zi6 HD camcorder. Might not look like much, but the list of features is pretty impressive...

The camera supports HD (720p) at 60fps. Built-in USB connector, runs off AA batteries (comes with a set of rechargeables) and can be expanded with SD cards (up to 32GB). It also weights under 4 ounces and costs $200.

There's no optical zoom or 1080i/p support, but still that's not a bad deal for a travel camera.

I won't fuck with Kodak personally. I know it would work for quick shots and whatever, but I'd look for something with more of a professional design / build / features. But that's for me. I'm serious about editing.

And if you don't preorder you'll be waiting until next year to pick one up.

720p camera, relatively compact for $200... That's a x-mas gift to a lot of people, so if you sleep you'll try to find one later and they will be sold out.

Just got mine today...been running around all day busy like crazy...once I get to play with it a little more i'll put a review together.

I tried using mine to film us driving on the Belt/SSP, but my hands were shaking because it was so cold that night that the videos didnt come out very good.
