what does everyone think about the Sentra SE-R Spec V? My friend has a 6mt and I drive in it a lot. It seems to have good acceleration. Unfortunately I have an automatic G, but I think my G would kill it, right?

It has a lot of torque but at 175 HP, a G is going to murder it :chop:

Nope for 2002-2006 the automatic SE-R put out 165HP to the crank. The Se-R Spec V with the 6 speed put out 175HP. Apparently the difference between the two is Nissan recommends regular for the SE-R and premium for the Spec V so the 10 HP is most likely due to ignition timing.

The 2008 Spec V has 200 hp as stated above.

I wouldn't doubt it, same motor as the Spec V so almost the same torque. BTW just as a FYI in 2002 you could have also gotten a regular SE-R [not a spec V] in 5 speed as well with 165 HP.

All the time people laugh when they say civic SI's try to race them, but when its an SE-R its an arguement becuase its a Nissan lol....the se-r has no shot, end of story.
