Now that's a nicely affordable sports car. Even though its a Nissan.

trade in time?

Would never trade my car for this. The quality in our cars is better than that of Nissan, I think. But after having the G for some time, I'm sure that I'm going German for my next car. Rattles and quality issues are a concern.

I beleive the 0-60 time is around 5-5.1 sec. The 4.9 is from a 1 foot roll. Let me see if i can dig up where i read it. Still sick. But the original claims of the car shedding over 300lbs was bs. With all the safety features its only around 50 something pounds lighter then the 350z.
Here u go:
Edmunds Test
0 - 30 (sec): 2.1
0 - 45 (sec): 3.4
0 - 60 (sec): 5.1
0 - 75 (sec): 7.5
1/4 Mile (sec @ mph): 13.4 @ 104.6
0-60 with 1-ft Rollout (sec): 4.9
30 - 0 (ft): 26
60 - 0 (ft): 101
Braking Rating (Excellent, Good, Average, Poor or Very Poor): Excellent
Slalom (mph): 69.8
Skid Pad Lateral acceleration (g): 0.97
Handling Rating (Excellent, Good, Average, Poor or Very Poor): Excellent
Db @ Idle: 47.4
Db @ Full Throttle: 83.1
Db @ 70 mph Cruise: 71.0
Acceleration Comments: Low-spin launches resulted in big bog. With so much rear grip and modest torque, it takes a ton of revs to get the rears to scratch and spin (about 5,000-5,500 rpm). Even so, they hook up pretty early on, so a bog is not far away. Pedals vibrate like crazy and the shifter only slightly less so. Shifts are much smoother and slicker than those of a 350Z. I like the short throws, especially good for the 2-3 shift. Power falls off slightly in upper revs. Not sure if it made a difference or not, but I got my best run with the shift mode in Sport (isn't that only for match-rev downshifts?). In this mode, however, when I popped it out of gear at the end of the quarter-mile, the engine zinged up to redline (it didn't do this in non-sport mode). Had to go to 4th gear for the quarter-mile. Loud, but not in a cool, sports car kind of way. Sounds labored and doesn't rev freely.
Handling Comments: Ever-so-slight understeer on the limit, but you can't drive through and kick the tail out. In the end, it just blazes around in total control with minor adjustments through throttle input. Slalom: Steering is still a little heavy for my liking, but it's WAY better than that of a 350Z. The car still feels heavy; however, shifting the palpable mass from side to side with a very flat attitude. What starts out feeling like a car with a potential to spin turns out to be quite trustworthy. Again, found mild understeer on the limit that was difficult to drive through. The car didn't manage the dip/hop at cone #3 well at all, making me late for cone #4. I had to get pretty deliberate with my inputs to manage rotation on the final cone, but it worked quite well. Don't know if it has one, but the 370Z sure feels like it has an LSD that keeps the slide predictable and controlled. I'm certain this car could get a quicker run on a flatter surface.
Braking Comments: Yep, it's got 'em all right. Firm pedal only gets rock hard under full ABS. Zero flutter or hum. Straight, short, fade-free. "Worst" stop was 105 feet. Near-zero idle stroke.

yeah...about that M3 :)
it's still a difference of like 6-7 mph through the traps and like .5 slower, but it is a good contender for the 335, although the 335 is bigger and the 135 is a better comparison. The 135i does the quarter in 13.3 @ 106

Agreed.
With the right mods this car can be the perfect track car.

still a ugly ride
i love this color so much i want the new 370Z.
You're not the only one. If I ever get money to spare im hoppin into one of these.
I guess there is no turbos needed, bolt on, and tune the shit out of it with one of these after market tuners.
ANd u should be into low to mid 12s with SLicks and good driver. I just think so. and that is fuckin fast. 12 second might not sound fast but, It's hella fast

Wow that's strange, I know you been complaining about the same rattles, but idk what can possibly be wrong. My car is 3 years older with 60k and I don't have any rattles. Try to see if you can tighten up some bolts yourself, cause a brand new Infiniti shouldn't be rattling.

+2 This car looks tempting to beat the shit out of it...
My guess is that this Z can do high 12's stock, since the G37's been pulling off low 13's stock...

the 335 would still shit on this thing.. once aigan if you going to the track therefore your most likely into racing..
if you have a 335i and into racing why wouldent it be chipped? once agian even this 370gt can not keep up with a chipped 335i.
Stock for stock of course, but still caint match up to a tad modded 335i

LOL considering this is nissan and they're known to overate their shit i highly doubt this car can break into 12's stock. This isn't because i have a 335i. I'm just going on reputation. Stock for stock the 335i will still shit on this. Frankly, i believe this is just a g37 in a different body. You won't notice any straight line speed differences.
Might i add this is coming from MotorTrend aka the only magazine that rated the G37 over 335i aka on nissans payroll

yea it was motortrend. The bmw they had didnt have the oil cooler or some shit, the newer ones have it. Why it wasnt there to begin with you have to ask the all mighty bmw..lol

cause they were trying to keep the price down on the tester to keep it somewhat competitive. they just picked a retarded area to cut corners, smh.
yoman is right though, nissan DOES have a history of overrating their vehicles

I think you might have to ask the all mighty nissan instead. They were the ones that supplied both cars. They put their G37S agaisnt the 335i with no sport package (no oil cooler).
