last week I was planning on doing a custom set of headlights and needed some supplies. At the suggestion of a fellow member here I went to v-leds.com and placed a $277.00 order for LEDs and some HIDs

I received a tracking number maybe 30min after placing the order and paying for it. So far I'm impressed. I check the tracking number and UPS says I'd receive it tomorrow 4/3 which for me was perfect so I'd have the stuff for the weekend.

Wednesday morning I get an email at like 6am from v-leds.com telling me that some of my items are on backorder FOR SEVERAL WEEKS and my order hasn't shipped yet. Why on earth does it take 4 days for someone to notice they don't have an item in stock and contact the customer?!

I email back that the rest of the order should be shipped and that i was expecting the order for Friday so I'm highly disappointed in the way the situation is unfolding

I got an email this morning at 5am basically telling me that the majority of the system is automated and pretty much it is what it is and there's nothing that can be done about it.

Upon further review of their website they have no phone number listed or address information. Going to the link for "contact us" takes you to an email form and nothing else

Considering this is my first dealings with v-leds.com their operation is horrendous and has totally messed up a timeframe I was working with for a set of headlights for a customer of mine. The lack of concern or caring from v-leds.com in this matter has totally pissed me off and I suggest that you avoid having the same experience with them I've had to endure.

Hopefully I've saved someone some future headache here.

I have screenshots of the UPS tracking info and the order receipt I got from them as well as the emails if you guys want further info regarding this matter

thanks. I mean the only thing that was backordered was a pair of turn signal bulbs. They held up a $300 order for $30 LED bulbs?! WTF is that? As of right this minute the order still hasn't shipped. Tomorrow morning at 11:30 will be a sold 7 days without the order going out even though its paid for already and everything else was supposedly in stock

Their LEDs suck anyways. I used to buy them when i had my sedan, they used to blow out between 1-2 months religiously.

Sorry to hear that bro. Hope everything will be resolved quickly. My personal experience with them is actually a good one. I bought many 194 leds from them and received them in less than a week. None of the leds burn out on me so far.

sorry to hear about your situation. i think its shady that they charged you before shipping anything out. on another note, i've heard good things about oznium.com.

thats exactly what set me off. they charged me for the items as if everything was in stock before checking to see if it was all there. gave tracking info like it was being shipped on Friday then I get the email 4 days later telling me they don't have it and won't have it for SEVERAL WEEKS :frusty:

I've had plenty of big orders held back because of one stupid thing.. Not from V-LEDs, but other places.

Like I ordered over $1,000 worth of bike parts for my old BMX bike when I was like 16, they held the order for about 2 weeks because they didn't have the special color chain and bar ends that I had ordered.. Talk about pissing someone off.

Never had a problem with vleds.com shipping b4. But there led sucks. I had couple of 194, which would go bad in couple of months.
How are Piaa 194 led wedge's? Expensive but a name brand.
Or should I just go with superbrightleds?
