I had Huper Optic done for my car for $500 about 5-6 weeks ago. I can still see some spots are not dried. It hasn't been out in the sun much and the temperatures here in DC are pretty cold. Is this normal for Huper Optic to dry that long? Should I give it more time and wait for a warmer weather or go back to where I go it done? Btw, California Tint is the place where they did my tint.

I honestly dont understand why you people allow someone to charge you $500 dollars for a tint job when realistically its all the same exact shit anyway.
take it back to the shop tints usually take a week to dry, you have bubbling right?...btw i just read a bit bout this new film and it definatly sounds interesting, what % did u get?

you got rob and they did a bad job. you should take it back and make them do it over again
guys before you make an assumption bout someone getting ripped off for a tint job atleast do some research. this is a german quality film that is fairly new to the market, only thing is that i wouldnt get it if i lived in the north, the heat isnt that bad up here but its definatly good for mid to down south whips where weather gets really heated...we cant compare tint prices cause a member in florida gets her tints done for 120 and a good tint job in ny is around 250...but huper optic looks like it actually serves a purpose besides shading the window, regular tints barely protect the interior from heat

I don't know much about them, but 5-6 weeks is a long time. I'd go back to the shop if I were you.

got 30% all around. They told me it takes 4-6 weeks to dry. But i'll stop by their shop today to see what they say. I'll be PISSED if they have to redo.

It is fairly old in the market considering people back in 2003 where getting this done to their G35's from a sponsor on G35Driver. I will wait for Neal to comment on this thread because he had these tints installed and he for some reason swears by them, I personally have seem them in person, and next to the 5000 other types of tints out there and they look exactly the same as a $100 tint job, they let in the same amount of light, and if I sit in Neals front seat for a long enough time with the sun hitting me, it bothers me as much as in any other tinted car.
/\ ye i know Sid was an authorized dealer of the product don't remember the rest of the details, ive never had any experience with it , but it seems like a good product from what i've been reading the past hour so i cant vouch for it, and i dont think we can compare the heat cause of a few small aspects such as % of tint, actual weather/location/ and possibly color of the car exterior & interior cause i know black attracts heat

i dont know about a refund but it sounds to me that you should go an revisit your shop.
its not about how long it dries its more about how the film is cured. in the cold weather tint film does not have a good opportunity to cure properly.
if you want to get tints, summer is the best time to get it.

well, the guy said that he had a customer who kept his car garaged and his film didn't cure for like 3 month. As soon as he started leaving it in the sun, all the bubbles went away. So I'll just wait for warmer weather and start leaving it in the sun more often for now. But if by late spring/summer it wont go away..time for a re-do I guess

last resort is try using a blow drier on the tints, keep a good distance of course.
