I also had the same problem with mine...Fist originally it was the head unit that went bad ...i also have a alternate warranty not from Infiniti. It was a huge hastle my car going back and fourth 4 times before they finally replaced the head unit....but then when the car came back the a/c controls werent working properly...at 60 degrees is would blow cold with the a/c on ,but if you put it to 61 degrees it would be blazing heat ...I took it back and they said it was some wire that was disconected or maybe the circuit board for the ac controls.Reagardless the head unit they replaced started acting up again like 2 weeks later.I still havent even bothered to go back.I literally bang on the side of the head unit every once in awhile when the problem starts up and it works fine again lol.I didnt pay anything out of pocket to get it fixed the first time.I also have a full bumper to bumper warranty including electronics....some warranties are just drivetrain
i bought the infiniti extended waranty for 1800 got it fixed under that as well as some other shit that was wrong with the car now i'm covered till 99,000 miles![]()

Once you tag lane the game is follow the leader...
you full of $hit shut your mouth let your ass talk
Like i said bro it was the A/C controls in mine not the compressor...It took them 4 times to figure out the head unit was bad when i told them it was from the get go,becuase i used to install systems...When i get the cash together I'm going to put a nice double din unit in.Bose sounds great ..they just suck electronically
I agree with u ill prob go with the kenwood and a nice dd and get rid of the boss shit
ONly problem with getting rid of the Bose Head unit is that everything else has to go as well....YOu need to get a really good 1 ohm stable amp to power the speakers....and they will prob still not sound as good.MOst people are usually better off replacing all the stock speakers amps ....everything

^ your wrong, you can change the HU and still use the Bose speakers and AMP and it still sounds good i know because i have it. The harness that you need called Metra 70-7551.

Really....Ive heard a few poeple say it didnt sound as good, but obvioulsy if you say you have it done and it sounds as good thats where it is.I'm guessing they might have done some half ass'd splicing or what notor maybe don't know how to change the sound settings on the head unit.Btw where did you get your harness.I'm looking to put a double din unit in soon, but i want to keep the Bose speakers

^ you just have to play around with the headunit settings to make it work as good, it took me like 30 min to adjust everything so all the speakers sound good and the bass actually improved. The Stock speakers are not as good as aftermarket but it sounds clearer to me then the OEM HU provided.

Yeah the metra cost like 170 or so that's what I seen online and they also have another one I forgot the name but its like 270

^ Its a JDM kit that looks x100000 better then the Metra kit.

Ok now it's my turn... Last night I start my car, no stereo at all and ac is blasting on auto at 60 degrees...
So I'm a little confused, do I have to replace the circuit board or will getting a double din solve everything??

it might be your HU or the board. It can be both, i would change it to the double din, it will solve the problem forever.

I'll need to buy other stuff aside from the DD right? Face plate, buttons??

No, the double Din comes with the whole kit AC control and plate. The only thing you need is aftermarket harness so you don't have to cut OEM wires and antenna adapter if you running Pioneer Unit.

Oh ok I wasn't sure, someone told me otherwise... Thanks Lev, I'm gonna look into some DD's.
