I'd buy a fender or something for cheap and see how it goes onto a larger surface first, see how it comes off.. etc.

And I don't want it coming off easily either.. I don't want it to be like when I lean on the car it starts ripping off.

You can do it, you just have to use less pressure or a different setting on the nozzle.
yeh i think the pressure washer was too powerful

wow the stupidity of some ppl in this thread is ridiculous.

The paint didnt get fucked up from the plastidip. It peeled off fine by hand it was just taking him forever so he used the power washer. He went OD with it and it took off his regular paint too.

I plastidipped his roof and hood in black before this and it was on there for a few months and came off just fine. You just have to spray it on thick enough so it peels off in bigger pieces.

haha i guess. but wouldn't it kinda be a catch 22?

put on a lot of plasti = take it off easily but falls off too easily?(maybe)

dont put on enough = hard to take off.

unless you can apply more coats before peeling it off.

edit: im gonna go buy some plasti-dip and change up my color err week lol.

If somebody really wants to plasti-dip their car, you shouldn't do it with a spray can. A real good plasti-dip paintjob will cost several hundred dollars and will need to be done professionally out of a gun. This job was like a test-run and didn't come out the best. And yes, removing it could be done safely with the power washer if it wasnt set to the highest setting.

How easy does it come off? I don't want to paint it and like someone scratches it alittle and it starts coming off.. Like.. Can it withstand car washes/handwashes?
